Announcement: Partnership with RIV Capital

A Message From Our Founders

 

It is with great excitement that today we announce the signing of a definitive agreement and the beginning of our partnership with RIV Capital, Inc.

 

Etain and RIV Capital share a mutual desire to preserve, develop and strengthen the Etain brand and values

 

This agreement marks the most significant transaction for a women-owned business in cannabis history. While the Peckham family will be stepping back from control of the company, we will be actively partnered with RIV Capital on preserving the ethos of the Etain brand and utilizing our combined efforts to continually find and make new spaces for women in cannabis. RIV Capital clearly recognized the potential for women-led brands to flourish in the cannabis industry, and we are proud that our work at Etain has led us to this point in time.

 

We are pleased that all of Etain’s facilities will remain open and its employees will uniformly benefit by becoming part of an organization which also values their commitment and contributions, and which offers additional opportunities for professional growth. As part of this partnership, Etain’s three women founders will be integrated into RIV Capital as core leaders in the future of the Etain brand. 

 

We will continue to focus our efforts on finding opportunities to partner with and elevate small women-owned brands in cannabis and cannabis-adjacent spaces. Additionally, Etain’s CEO, Amy Peckham, will be joining RIV Capital’s Board of Directors to bolster the female voice in the strategy of one of the fastest-growing cannabis companies in America. Additionally, Etain is contributing 10% of the cash-proceeds from the transaction to both our existing employees and a charitable fund focused on women and minority empowerment.
