This past weekend marked the one year anniversary of licenses being awarded to medical marijuana producers in New York State. Since the end of July last year the New York State Medical Marijuana program has grown to almost 6000 patients, 600 doctors, and 18 dispensaries statewide. While there has been considerable growth in the program, there is progress yet to be made for many patients living in the state.
In applying for and accepting a license to produce and dispense medical marijuana Etain made a commitment to the patients of New York State. We were honored to be the only women-owned, family-run organization chosen in the state, and proud to be the first to open all our dispensing and manufacturing facilities. We carry our pride forward into an ongoing investment in producing the purest, highest quality products for our patients.
Every day in our dispensaries we are reminded of why we originally applied for a license. We are eternally grateful to the many patients and supporters we have met through this process, and the most that we can hope is that our efforts have benefitted the many patients of New York State.
We are humbled by how far the program has come this past year and will continue to work on behalf of our patients to ensure that this progress continues.
